Panthers toast Hornets, 3-1

On Friday night, the Panthers hosted the Hudson Hornets in a non-district match that saw your Panthers (9-5) victorious 3-1.
The Panthers found the back of the net in the 6th minute when Angel Ruiz laid off a pass to Alejandro Montes. Four minutes later Jonathan Juarez would score via an Abdiel Garcia pass. Right before the halftime break, Hudson would be awarded and make a penalty kick to leave the score 2-1.
On the other side of halftime, Jaime Lopez would net for the final score in the 60th minute after collecting a Hector Del Rio pass. The Panthers travel to New Waverly on Friday, with a 5 p.m. kick, for the final non-district contest.
The Lady Panthers (6-5) traveled to Silsbee on Friday night and dropped a tight contest, 2-0, with both goals coming in the first half.
The Lady Panthers host Madisonville on Tuesday, Jan. 28, at Memorial Stadium, with a 5 p.m. kickoff.
