KC COOK OFF AND DANCE

The Knights of Columbus will hold a cook off Jan. 29-30 at the TVE Expo Hall, 321 Wallisville Road in Liberty. The entry fee is $200 per team: brisket, ribs, chicken, chef’s choice, dessert, chili and margarita. Jackpot entry is $10 per category with 100 percent payout to the winner. Move-in starts at 8 a.m. Friday, Jan. 29, and all teams must be in by 5 p.m. that day. Head cooks will meet at 6 p.m. Friday, Jan. 29, in the hall. Entry and fee deadline is Friday, Jan. 8.

The dance will be from 8:30 p.m. to midnight Jan. 29. Admission is $10 a head. BYOB. The Steven Sweedin Band will play. For more information contact Joshua Burk at jbfeb1407@gmail.com or 936-346-7959.

NARCOTICS ANONYMOUS

Trust the process. Narcotics Anonymous meets every Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 7 p.m. at 424 Main Street in Liberty, next to Jax Hamburgers. For more information call 254-716-9965.

COFFEE WITH THE MAYOR - CANCELLED THIS MONTH

The City of Liberty has Coffee with the Mayor the third Thursday of the month.

LIBERTY FREEDOM RIDE

The 6th Liberty Freedom Ride will be held this year on Saturday, Feb. 13, 2021, with three routes to participate in this year - 18, 38, and 75 miles of beautiful Liberty County scenery to choose from. All rides begin at the Liberty Center 1829 Sam Houston, Liberty, TX. All routes have good shoulders and have rest stops every 8 to 12 miles. All routes end at the Start/finish line.

LDRMC MEN’S HEALTH FAI r

Liberty-Dayton Regional Medical Center will be holding their annual Men’s Health Fair on Saturday, Jan. 23 from 8a.m. - 12p.m. They will be doing a wide range of testing, as well as holding a Lifeshare Blood Drive during the event. The medical center is located at 1353 North Travis in Liberty.

VETERAN MEET-UP

You are invited to join us for breakfast and camaraderie with fellow veterans. 1st Saturday of each Month 8:30-10:30am Cleveland Historical Museum. The museum is located at 203 E Booth St in Cleveland.

LMS PANTHER PLAYERS

The Liberty Middle School Panther Players are proud to present their 2021 UIL One Act Play performance of Any Body for Tea? at the LISD Auditorium on Monday, February 1st at 6:00 pm. Admission is free and we welcome any and all donations at the door. We will be observing current COVID protocols and thank you in advance of your support.

Registration for baseball and softball is officially open.

There is an option to purchase registration insurance protection in case your player is unable to play for a number of reasons. TCBA does not benefit financially or otherwise if you purchase it, but we highly recommend it.

FOOD PANTRY

The First Baptist Church

of Dayton will hold their next Food Pantry 9 a.m. on Tuesday, February 2 at the Family Life Center located next to the church at 202 East Houston St. in Dayton.

CELEBRATE RECOVERY

The Family Church in Hardin is hosting Celebrate Recovery, a weekly class every Tuesday Night at 7pm. If you know someone who needs this class, please share this information with them. This is a Bible based recovery program for alcohol, drugs, codependency, anger management, etc. The Family Church is located at 656 CR 2010 in Hardin, Texas.

LIBERTY YOUTH BASEBALL & SOFTBALL

• Challengers- Players that have a disability learning/mentally/physically that hinders them from playing a full season - this gives all children the opportunity to participate and learn a game they love! Ages of 4-16 years of age.
