Little Biddy Bits

The large oak tree trunk was too big to be moved. After it dried out, I set one end of it on fire. It burned for a while, then just smoldered forever. Eventually, that little bit of heat left the trunk in ashes.
Is there something “smoldering” inside you, something that you just cannot seem to let go out? The results will be the same as what happened to my tree. “A peaceful heart leads to a healthy body, but jealousy (grief, bitterness, anger, resentment, etc.) rots the bones.” (Proverbs 14:30)
