STAYING POWER
It is not starting power but staying power that is missing these days. The Bible mentions a man named Demas. His name appears three times in scripture. First it says, “Demas our beloved brother.” Next it simply says, “Demas.” And finally, we read, “Demas has forsaken us.” Jesus could have decided in the garden that this is just not worth it but he stayed until he could say the words, “It is finished.”
Staying power is like the splitting of a log, every blow counts but it is the last blow that splits it! “I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith…” (2 Timothy 4:7)
