“In His Presence”

1 Samuel 1 tells the story of Hannah. Hanna kept going back to the tabernacle until she had a son! She was barren and could not have a child. The Bible says that God had shut her womb! Elkanah, her husband would give her worthy portions to give to God in worship, but even in that she wouldn’t be comforted!

She kept going back until she knew that God heard and answered her prayer!

She didn’t allow the spirits of people to get in her way, she didn’t allow the spirit of offense to stop her, she didn’t allow the enemy to stop her!

Elkanah would tell her in 1 Samuel 1;8 ,am I not better than 10 sons? As she worshipped, the priest Eli thought she was drunk and slapped her in verse 12, but that didn’t stop her! No matter how sore she was from the provoking of the enemy in verse 6, she didn’t stop!

She kept worshipping, year after year but, this time was different! Hannah got into her spirit a “they are not drunk as you suppose mentality”(acts 2:15)

Have you ever seen an intoxicated person? I have. You cant stop an intoxicated person!

They are going to sing loudly out of key, they are going to stumble and flail around and call it dancing and no matter what you do or say they, are convinced that they are doing great!

Fight? There is not a worse one to fight with than someone drunk. You cant beat him. They are convinced they are invincible. We need to get a little more indulgent in the spirit! We need to get more under the influence of the holy spirit as they appeared on the day of Pentecost!

Luke 10

38 Now it came to pass, as they went, that he entered into a certain village: and a certain woman named Martha received him into her house.

39 And she had a sis ter called Mary, which also sat at Jesus' feet, and heard his word.

40 But Martha was cumbered about much serving, and came to him, and said, Lord, dost thou not care that my sister hath left me to serve alone? bid her therefore that she help me.

41 And Jesus answered and said unto her, Martha, Martha, thou art careful and troubled about many things:

42 But one thing is needful: and Mary hath chosen that good part, which shall not be taken away from her.

It doesn’t matter how much Martha complains , when you are under His influence it doesn’t matter.

To all of those that are as Hannah you may feel that God has shut up your promise; to those that feel like Martha, you are busy caught up in daily affairs…..be like Mary!

Get into Gods presence! Stay as determined as Hannah, keep going until you touch him! God is still a miracle working God and He is waiting on you!
