LIBERTY— With the completion of the Anahuac Municipal Development’s Summer Job Training Program, AMDD directors held an awards ceremony last weekend to recognize the hard work of the trainees.

AMDD held an awards ceremony on Saturday, July 26, and various business owners and leaders came out to celebrate their trainees.

“It’s always a joy to recognize the hard work and achievements of our local youth as they take meaningful steps toward their futures,” according to an AMDD Facebook statement.

This year, nine participants completed the program, including Zack Delacruz at Chambliss Construction, My’Quiet Davis at Chambers Liberty Counties Navigation District, Mattie Alcala at Anahuac National Bank, Jaylynn Lewis at The Adventure Academy, Leah Borne at Four Corner Tires and Oil, Kennedy Mayer at the Law Office of Lucas Wilson, Alyssa Humphrey at Bayside Community Hospital, Bryaneshia Jones at the Chambers County Appraisal District and Cassi Evans at Anahuac Cleaners.

Participants received special resolutions from House District 23 Rep. Terri Leo Wilson.

AMDD thanked the student trainees, participating businesses, House District 23 Rep. Terri Leo Wilson’s Office District Director Susan LeBlanc and Anahuac High School counselor BJ Garcia in the post.

“Your commitment and enthusiasm make this program a true success,” the post read.
