BH defense stingy in 25-0 win at Beaumont United
BEAUMONT— The Barbers Hill defense held Beaumont United to 112 yards of total offense in pitching a shutout on Friday night at Memorial Stadium in a 25-0 win over the Timberwolves.
Carson Hahn led the Eagles defense with 10 tackles and two sacks.
Barbers Hill needed only a minute to take the lead with Brady Barrier hooking up with Tripp Davis on a 47-yard strike, and then Hahn ran in the two-point conversion, and the Eagles led 8-0.
Javi Castillo booted a 23-yard field goal in the second quarter, and Barbers Hill enjoyed an 11-0 lead at the half.
Barrier made it 18-0 in the third quarter by scoring from a yard out, and the final Eagles score came in the fourth with Jamal Jones scoring from the 2-yard line for the final score of the night.
Davis caught four passes for 102 yards and a score while Barrier finished 10-20 for 179 yards and a touchdown. The senior added a second score on the ground. Miles Spurlock led the ground game with 46 yards on nine carries.
The Eagles will host Galveston Ball on Friday night.
