Liberty County well represented in volleyball playoffs
VOLLEYBALL
Liberty County schools have been battling all season to grab a playoff spot in volleyball, and four schools have made the cut, as Hull-Daisetta, Hardin, Dayton and Liberty look to make things happen.
The Hull-Daisetta Lady Cats won the district championship, so the Lady Cats will have a bye in the first round of the Class A playoffs. They will get the winner of the Fayett eville/TBA team sometime early next week.
The Hardin Lady Hornets captured second place in district and will face the Warren Lady Warriors on Thursday at 5 p. m. in Kountze. The winner will get the East Bernard/ New Waverly winner next week.
Also finishing in second place was the Dayton Lady Broncos, who will square off against Montgomery on Thursday at 6:30 p.m. at Porter High School. The winner will face the winner of Port Neches-Groves/Santa Fe.
Head Coach Justan Anderson and her Liberty Lady Panthers will face off against Jack Yates High School on Thursday at Humble High School. Game time is set for 5:30 p.m. The winner of Liberty/ Yates will take on the winner of Madisonville/ Silsbee sometime next week.
