Wallace leads EC to 89-38 win over Kountze

WINNIE– The East Chambers Buccaneers picked up their 20th win of the season on Friday night at home with an 89-38 victory over the Kountze Lions.

Deyvon Wallace led the scoring with 32 points for the Buccaneers and finished with five three-pointers.

Cam Dillard added 24 points and reached the 1,000-career point mark on the night. Evan Callahan also finished in double figures with 11 points.

The Lions jumped out to a quick 8-0 lead before a bucket by Dillard got East Chambers on the board.

Wallace followed by scoring five quick points, and after a Dillard bucket, it was the Buccaneers leading 9-8.

The run continued for East Chambers with a Wallace three-pointer and a Dillard bucket and the Buccaneers led 14-8.

The second quarter saw East Chambers doubling their lead at 24-12 on a Darius Edmonson score.

The lead ballooned to 38-16 at the half with Wallace connecting on a three-pointer and a Dillard score.

The Buccaneers put the game away with a 28-9 third quarter to extend their advantage to 66-25 heading into the final eight minutes.

East Chambers will welcome Anahuac on Friday night.
