Each year at this time, school districts around the state honor those employees that will be retiring. Although this year brought many struggles and obstacles, it is now time for Dayton ISD to honor their own retiring teachers and support personnel. This year’s group of retirees has three hundred and forty-three (343) years of combined experience with an average career of twenty-eight (28) years. Dayton ISD is proud of these twelve individuals and the contribution that each one of them made to make Dayton ISD a better place. The impact that they have had on students and faculty alike is not something that can be measured. Their ability to reach students and inspire them to greatness will certainly be missed.

Mrs. Hostetler is no stranger to SFA as she has worked there as a teacher and interventionist for the past 16 years. Mrs. Hostetler is excited about her new role, “I look forward to working with a great team that I will help support in creating a strong community partnership in order for students to reach their maximum capacity. I want to assist Mrs. Wortham in developing a collaborative team that develops a sense of unity and supports teachers in their mission to encourage and engage their students’ minds.
