CLEVELAND BACK TO SCHOOL SPECTACULAR
Cleveland will be hosting its Annual Back to School Spectacular on August 6, 2021, from 5 pm-7 pm at the Cleveland Civic Center.
We invite you to participate in giving back to the community and give our future leaders a head start to a successful 2021-2022 school year.
Our event has become one of the biggest Back to School events in the Cleveland community, serving over 700 school-age children.
Once again, we have been fortunate to partner with the Health Center of Southeast Texas to provide more backpacks this year. This event will be a drive-thru giveaway. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us at the Cleveland Civic Center at 281-592-2395.
MEET THE HORNETS
Monday, August 9, 2021, 7:30 pm (Hardin High School Stadium)
Hardin will be hosting a Meet the Hornets 80th Birthday event on August 9, 2021. The Hardin Athletic Booster Association will be selling smoked sausage wraps and other Hardin merchandise. There will be free Hardin merchandise given out to the community by the HHS Cheerleaders. There will be an introduction to our school’s new superintendent Mr. Scott Mackey. We will be introducing the fall sports teams, the Hardin High School Cheerleaders and Mascot, and the Stingerettes Dance squad. The band will perform community favorites. It will be an excellent opportunity to kick off the 80th birthday of our school!
DAYTON HS OPEN HOUSE
Dayton High School will hold its Open House on Monday, August 9, from 4–8 pm. DHS is located at
3200 N. Cleveland.
TCL TRADE DAYS
The Tarkington Community Library will be hosting TCL Trade Days on the sec ond Saturday of each month from 9 am – 4 pm. They will have arts, crafts, antiques, baked goods, sweets, vintage boutiques, concessions, and family fun. The event will be on August 14, September 11, October 9, November 13, and December 11 at the Library located at 3032 FM 163, Cleveland, TX 77327. For vendor information, email TCLTradedays@gmail.com.
ST. MILES MISSIONARY BAPTIST CHURCH 95TH
We are excited about what God has done and is doing here at St. Miles Missionary Baptist Church, and we are looking forward to all that God has for us in the future as we continue to look to him for guidance and wisdom. As we look back over the years, we must pause and be thankful to the Lord who has blessed us with His presence year in and year out.
We take this opportunity to invite everyone to come and help us celebrate 95 years as a beacon of hope and serving the spiritual and communal needs of the community. Please accept our heartfelt invitation to help us celebrate another milestone through God’s love, grace, and mercy. We will celebrate on Sunday, August 15, 2021, @ 10 am. Our guest speaker will be Rev. Hurdis D. Rhodes, an Associate Minister @ Lilly Grove Missionary Baptist Church of Houston, Tx, under the Spiritual guidance of Pastor Terry Anderson.

CELEBRATE RECOVERY
The Family Church in Hardin is hosting Celebrate Recovery, a weekly class every Tuesday at 7 pm. If you know someone who needs this class, please share this information with them. This is a Bible-based recovery program for alcohol, drugs, codependency, anger management, etc. The Family Church is located at 656 CR 2010 in Hardin, Texas.
NARCOTICS ANONYMOUS
Trust the process. Narcotics Anonymous meets every Monday and Wednesday at 7 pm at 424 Main Street in Liberty, next to Jax Hamburgers. For more information, call 254-716-9965.

The City of Liberty has Coffee with the Mayor on the third Thursday of the month.

We are expanding our hours and inviting craft/ boutique vendors to join us for our May 6 kickoff event! The new hours are Every Thursday from 10:00 am – 6:00 pm. Call 281-592-2395 and talk with Marina or Ashleigh at the Civic Center to get added to our vendor list!

Boutique/Craft vendors are not required to pay a vendor fee and just need to fill out the vendor form with the Civic Center. (210 Peach Ave.)

As the legislative branch of the City of Ames government, the City Council holds open public meetings where local laws, policies, and fundamental decisions for the city are discussed and decided. City Council members are elected at large.

All members are elected at large. The regularly called meetings of the Liberty City Council are held on the second Tuesday of each month at 6:00 pm. Special called meetings are typically held on the fourth Tuesday of each month; however, meetings may be reached at any time to conduct necessary business.
