BBQ FUNDRAISER CANCELED
The Liberty Fire Department BBQ Fundraiser that was scheduled for this Saturday, Aug. 28 has been cancelled. The event will be rescheduled for a later date.
DAYTON HISTORICAL SOCIETY MEETING
Dr. Jessica Johnson, Superintendent of Dayton ISD, will be the speaker at the next meeting of the Dayton Historical Society. She will give enlightening information and statistics about Dayton’s schools and also address the new rules and mandates from TEA to school districts as they continue to deal with problems associated with the Coronavirus. Dr. Johnson has led the district since 2013 and is an active member of the Society.
The meeting will take place on Monday, Aug. 30, AT 6 pm at Parker Hall, located behind the Old School Museum in Dayton. The public is cordially invited to attend.
BRONCO SEASON TICKETS
Dayton Bronco season tickets for new season ticket holders are on sale now through Friday, August 26. To purchase those tickets, go to https://dhs.daytonisd. net and follow the links under the Athletics tab.

PANTHER SEASON TICKETS
Panther football season begins at home on September 10, 2021. Current season ticket holders and those wishing to become season ticket holders may purchase ticket packets at the LISD Administration building, 1600 Grand Ave., Liberty, beginning August 16, 2021. The cost for each season ticket packet is $25.00, which covers the cost of all five home games. Seats for current season ticket holders will be reserved through noon on September 10, 2021. Reserved seats that have not been purchased by noon on September 10, 2021, will be released to the general public.
Individual seats in the reserved section that have not been purchased by game night will be available at the stadium ticket booth for $8.00 per seat.
CITY PARK PARTY
The 22nd Annual City Park Party will be held Saturday, September 11, from 3-8 pm at the Liberty Municipal Park. There will be hotdogs, snow cones, and popcorn. Plus, lots of fun for the kids with a bouncing moonwalk, train rides, and more. There will be lots of entertainment and prizes to be won throughout the event.
There will be 300 School Backpacks filled with supplies, first come, first served. There will also be food supplies for 300 families.

TCL Trade Days
The Tarkington Community Library will be hosting TCL Trade Days on the second Saturday of each month from 9 am – 4 pm. They will have arts, crafts, antiques, baked goods, sweets, vintage boutiques, concessions, and family fun. The Hardin Senior Citizens meet at the Hardin Community Center each week Tuesday-Friday the center opens at 8:30 am for anyone wanting a little breakfast at no charge or just to swing in to visit. The Family Church in Hardin is hosting Celebrate Recovery, a weekly class every Tuesday at 7 pm. If you know someone who needs this class, please share this information with them. This is a Bible-based recovery program for alcohol, drugs, codependency, anger management, etc. The Family Church is located at 656 CR 2010 in Hardin, Texas.
