MONT BELVIEU— Another week and another pair of wins for the Barbers Hill Lady Eagles on the hardwood.

The week started last Tuesday night at home with a 62-32 victory over the Beaumont West Brook Lady Bruins.

Barbers Hill led 13-6 after the first quarter of play and then had a 14-5 second quarter to lead 27-11 at the half.

The third quarter saw the Lady Eagles get the offense going, and they put the game away by outscoring the Lady Bruins 20-11 to lead 47-22 heading into the final eight minutes of play.

On Friday evening, the Baytown Sterling Lady Rangers traveled to Mont Belvieu to face Barbers Hill and had little luck, as the Lady Eagles won 72-35.

The first quarter saw Barbers Hill leading 15-6 and then a big second quarter in which they outscored the Lady Rangers 18-5 to lead 33-11 at the break.

In the third, the Lady Eagles put up 22 points while holding Sterling to just 8, entering the fourth with a 55-19 lead.

The Lady Rangers played better in the fourth period as they were outscored just 17-16.

Barbers Hill is now 19-3 on the season and 2-0 in district play.

The Lady Eagles will host Port Arthur Memorial on Jan. 2 for an afternoon contest.
