Chambers County Assistant District Attorney Eric Carcerano, who has served the county for almost 20 years, was recently inducted into the Texas Prosecutor Society, a prestigious honor for prosecutors.

Carcerano was inducted on Wednesday, Dec. 3, during a special reception at the Texas District and County Attorneys Association’s Elected Prosecutor Conference, which is held each December.

“I am thankful to my boss, Cheryl, for the faith she has in me; to Chambers County for the opportunity to serve, and of course, to my wife and children for their unending support,” Carcerano said.

Before serving Chambers County, Carcerano served as ADA in Jefferson County and as counsel for the Combined Law Enforcement Associations of Texas.

“I am beyond proud of Eric’s service and dedication - not just to the profession, but to our community,” said District Attorney Cheryl Lieck Henry, who was inducted into TPS in 2022.

The special recognition came with a pin modeled after the Texas Rangers badge.

The TPS was first created in 2011 under the direction of then TDCAA Chair Dan Boulware and Endowment Chair Tom Krampitz. Beginning with 106, one for each year the TDCAA existed, TPS now has about 280 members.

Each member of TPS pledges $2,500 to create an endowment fund for the foundation to provide support for the TDCAA. The association offers further training opportunities for attorneys as well as leadership training.
