CCYPS seeks ambassadors
Organizers have already begun planning for one of the biggest events of the year and are asking for those who are passionate about agriculture to join the ambassador program.
The Chambers County Youth Project Show Youth Ambassador Program is open for applications for high school-aged exhibitors.
Ambassadors will have the chance to gain hands-on experience in fair operations and event planning, public speaking and media skills, mentorship and community outreach, and agricultural education and advocacy.
Current CCYPS exhibitors who are high school freshmen to seniors are eligible for the program. The program is a one-year term, and returning ambassadors will have an opportunity for advanced roles.
Application requirements include an online application form with a short essay question, one letter of recommendation, and a resume or activity list outlining leadership and volunteer experience.
Applications for the ambassador program are due on Tuesday, Sept. 30.
