Eastbound lanes reopen as westbound work continues
Roadwork on Interstate 10 has been a frustration for many, as crews worked to make needed repairs at the Trinity River and Old & Lost River bridges in recent weeks, but work wrapped up on the eastbound lanes over the weekend.
On Saturday, Jan. 17, House District 23 Rep. Terri Leo Wilson turned to her Facebook page, announcing the reopening and completion of work on eastbound lanes.
Late Friday, Jan. 16, the Texas Department of Transportation offered an update on the project, giving insight into recently completed work.
That work included completing damaged guardrails on the westbound side, while on the eastbound side, repairs to concrete were made, and testing was completed for the concrete overlay.
Work was expected to be completed on several other facets of the project over the weekend, including lane striping.
As of Tuesday, multiple lanes on the westbound side remained closed as work continues on the project.
