Garrison shuts down Anahuac
GARRISON– The Anahuac Panthers took it on the chin Friday night as the Garrison Bulldogs won 54-0 in non-district play.
The game was scoreless for the first eight minutes before Garrison would get on the scoreboard with an Avery Yarbrough 7-yard touchdown run to lead 6-0.
The Bulldogs then added to their lead as Yarbrough returned a Panthers punt 45 yards for a score, and Garrison led 14-0 after the opening quarter.
The second quarter saw the Bulldogs put up three more touchdowns as they led 33-0 at the half.
Garrison then put the game away with 21 more points in the third quarter.
Anahuac put together a nice drive late in the game by driving to the Bulldogs 9-yard line before turning the ball over on downs.
The Panthers will return home on Friday night for their Homecoming game against Lutheran South. Game time is set for 7:30 p.m. at Kyle White Stadium.
