ANAHUAC— Last weekend, the Texas Gatorfest kicked off with a great start as the pageant had a record number of participants on hand.

The 2025 Texas Gatorfest Pageant was held on Saturday, Sept. 6, making Gatorfest history with over 100 participants. 

"The Texas Gatorfest Pageant has a long history of crowning wonderful young men and women who serve as ambassadors for the Anahuac Area,” Pageant Ambassador Kristan Anderson said in a press release. “This year was historic with more contestants than we have ever had. I am proud of the work that we have done to make this event a success and one of high caliber." 

A team of 12 judges, many of whom brought pageant experience or are business leaders, saw many young men and women compete for seven titles. 

“Each contestant was beautiful, brilliant, and represented their community with pride,” said Pageant Chair Samantha Humphrey. 

Winners of the Senior Queen Pageant include Senior Queen Phoenix Garza; Kendall Hutchins, first runner up and congeniality award; Story Thistle, second runner up; Peyton Noack, third runner up; and Tammy Ly, photogenic award. 

Winners of the Junior Queen Pageant include Junior Queen Brooklyn Armentor; Presley Wischnewsky, first runner up; Madelyn Wilson-Crump, second runner up; and Aubrey Garza, third runner up. Armentor also won the congeniality award, and Daisy Rutherford won the photogenic award. 

Winners of the Princess Pageant include Princess Jaxyn Phillips; Texas Jones, first runner up and congeniality award; Ramsey Wilcox, second runner up; Piper Wischnewsky, third runner up; and Lydia Zotti, photogenic award. 

Winners of the Little Gator Queen Pageant include Little Gator Queen Amelia Childress; Everleigh Fugere, first runner up; Maizie Lancon, second runner up; and Austin Smith, third runner up and photogenic award. 

Winners of the Little Gator King Pageant include Little Gator King Asa Rutland; Abraham Fernandez, first runner up; Lance Burnett, second runner up; and Cylas Carrington, third runner up and photogenic award. 

Winners of the Miss Gator Tot Pageant include Miss Gator Tot Blakelynn Kahla; Lucy Jackson, first runner up; Naomi Thomas, second runner up; and Kamwryn Brewer, third runner up. Kahla also won the photogenic award. 

Winners of the Mr. Gator Tot Pageant include Mr. Gator Tot Treyson Finnex; Chance Loxterman, first runner up; Breylan Cooley, second runner up; Kolter Pender, third runner up; and Mattias Sustaita, photogenic award. 

The pageant committee thanked those who made the day possible, giving a special thanks to Anahuac Independent School District who allowed the pageant to be hosted at the Anahuac Middle School auditorium. 

A special thanks also went to AMS Principal Lynna Stephenson and the custodial and building maintenance teams.
