Granados takes first in Anahuac CC meet
ANAHUAC– The District Cross Country Tune-Up was held on Friday morning at Whites Park.
Agustin Granados of East Chambers won the race with a time of 17:48.
Teammate Xavi Martinez finished in 15th place, while Jose Rufino and Christian Moreno finished in 18th and 19th place. Drew Frederick, also of East Chambers, crossed in 23rd place.
On the girls' side, it was Karen Hernandez of the Lady Buccaneers leading the way with a sixth-place finish.
Giselle Santana finished in eighth place. Mikeala Quave, Kalyssa Fontenot, and Parker Williams, all of East Chambers, finished in 10th, 11th and 13th place, respectively.
Anahuac was led by Kasey Galindo Moales, who finished in 21st place. Isabell Espejo and Lizbeth Ramirez finished in 33rd and 34th place for the Lady Panthers.
The Anahuac boys participated in the big school division, and Richard Ramirez was the top finisher for the Panthers, placing 29th.
