Lady Buccaneers improve to 19-6 on the season

WINNIE– It has been a very successful season for the East Chambers Lady Buccaneers so far in the 2025 part of the basketball season, and they are looking to carry that over into 2026.

Last week, the Lady Buccaneers finished off the year by hosting their own Holiday Christmas Classic.

East Chambers picked up wins over Vidor 50-46, Evadale 40-31, and Hamshire-Fannett 44-24.

The Lady Buccaneers dropped games to Huntington 44-34 and LCM 37-28.

The final game of the tournament for East Chambers was their 44-24 over Hamshire-Fannett. It was the second win over the Lady Longhorns this year. The Lady Buccaneers jumped out to an 8-6 first quarter lead and then made it a 21-12 advantage at the half. East Chambers put the game away in the third quarter by outscoring the Lady Horns 18-4 in the period to lead 39-16 heading into the final eight minutes.

The Lady Buccaneers are now 19-6 on the season and 3-0 in district play.

East Chambers will welcome in Orangefield on Friday night.
