DEWEYVILLE— Anahuac Lady Panthers Head Coach Lachance Murray and his team are quietly putting together a very successful season, and on Friday afternoon, Beaumont Legacy got a first-hand look at how well the Lady Panthers are playing as they routed the Lady Warriors 45-13 at the Deweyville Tournament.

Anahuac jumped on Legacy from the start, as Erica Criswell came up with a steal and a score, and then Rai' Ana Lewis connected on a three-pointer and the lead was 6-0.

Later in the opening period, Criswell scored on a three-point play and the Lady Panthers led 10-2 after the first period.

In the second period, Lewis scored off the glass, and then Criswell pulled a spin move on the Lady Warriors defense for another score.

Anahuac went into the locker room with a 17-6 advantage.

The third quarter saw Julissa Sandoval score on a drive, and then Criswell hit the offensive boards for a score, and the lead was up to 23-6.

The Lady Panthers led 31-11 heading into the fourth.

In the first minute of the final period, it was Kasey Galindo hitting from down to make it 34-11. Brooklyn Wells also scored a couple of baskets in the fourth quarter as Anahuac cruised to the victory.

Criswell led the Lady Panthers in scoring with 19 points and Lewis finished with 8 points.

On Thursday, Anahuac went 1-1 with a 28-20 win over Good Samaritan and dropped a 41-38 decision to Johnson Bayou. On Saturday, the Lady Panthers defeated Deweyville 51-15.

Anahuac is now 9-3 on the season and will play at Buna on Friday night.
