Tough times continue for Lady Panthers
ANAHUAC– The Anahuac Lady Panthers have seen more downs than ups in 2025, and that trouble continued last week, as they remained winless in District 22-3A action.
The ladies fell to both Kountze and East Chambers, not only remaining winless in district, but the Lady Panthers have yet to win a set in district play, moving to 0-9 in league play.
Last Tuesday, the black and gold went toe to toe with the Kountze Lady Lions early on, pushing the opening game to the brink before falling 27-25.
The Lady Lions would capture the final two sets, 25-16 and 25-13, to sweep the Lady Panthers.
Hoping to get something going on Friday, the Lady Panthers welcomed rival East Chambers to town, but unfortunately, the Lady Bucs were just too much.
EC swept Anahuac, 25-8, 25-16 and 25-15, in taking the season series between the two Chambers County squads.
Now the Lady Panthers will hit the road for a pair of contests, as they head to Buna on Oct. 17 and Kirbyville on Oct. 21. Anahuac will wrap up the season at home Oct. 24 when the Hardin Lady Hornets come to town.
