KENEFICK ACTIVITY CLUB NEWS

Posted in:

The Kenefick Activity Club got off to a slow start this fall with the Covid Variant.

“Delta”. We missed one or two meetings, but things seemed to be getting a little better and we started having our meetings again on Oct. 5. Our attendance has been down some but we hope to get back to normal soon.

Our Activity Club did not do a community Thanksgiving lunch again this year, but hopefully next year we will be able to. We were able to help Dayton with their luncheon for our Veterans and we were glad to be able to help with that. From the reports that I have received, it was very appreciated and it was reported that the meal was great. A big “thank you” to all of those who worked so hard to see that it was a success.

We had regularly scheduled meeting this week on Nov. 16, at the Kenefick Community Building and we decided to have a covered dish luncheon for our members and their guests. Most of our members were able to attend and we had several guests.

We had a short business meeting and plans were made for our annual Christmas Party. It was decided to do finger foods and have a “sock exchange” as well as a “White Elephant Exchange”. We hope to have some games and spend some time together. We missed all of these activities last year and part of this year. We are looking forward to a great New Year and are looking forward to serving our community.

Our president, Lynn O’Neil fell and broke her wrist recently, Lethal Cooper fell and hurt her hand and Donna Rosenbalm fell and broke her ankle. We hope and pray that these ladies mend quickly and can get back to doing all of the things they enjoy doing.

Our next meeting will be on Dec. 7, at the Kenefick Community Building and our members need to bring the items that have been collecting for Bridgehaven for the past few weeks and Elaine Trimmers and Joyce Hummel will deliver them after our meeting!

The Kenefick Activity Club would like to wish everyone a safe and Merry Christmas.
