Cleveland seeking board applicants

  • Article Image Alt Text

Taking on a leadership role in any community is a powerful way to demonstrate your care and significantly impact the people locally. For those tasked with finding those that would take on one of these roles can at times be daunting and repetitive in some instances, especially if they don’t realize someone is interested in service.

The City of Cleveland has decided to streamline the process for finding community members interested in serving their community. They are looking for applicants to fill several boards, commissions, and committees. Some of these appointments will serve in advisory roles, while others will assist the city in performing functions required by the city ordinance or state law.

Officials with the city encourage anyone that might have any interest to please submit an application for consideration. It is a great way to give back to the Cleveland community.

To find the online application go to Boards and Commissions at www. clevelandtexas.com, and for more information, contact City Secretary Angela Smith or Deputy City Secretary Jennifer Juede at 936-592-2667.
