“Find your Magic” at Brother Sun Sister Moon

LIBERTY – With the Harvest Moon upon us and Halloween just around the corner, Brother Sun Sister Moon is offering some fun.

The local establishment, owned by Michele Williamson and Dan Stupka, will host a Re- Grand Opening event this Saturday, Oct. 7, welcoming everyone to see the remodeled store, have snacks and fun, and have a witchy fun cackling contest. There’s a full roster of folks with good witchy cackles, all battling for the first prize and bragging rights.

The store at 1804 Grand Avenue in Liberty opened last year, the first metaphysical shoppe in Liberty. Earlier this year, The Vindicator Readers’ Choice voted Brother Sun Sister Moon the Best Naturopath in Liberty County. The store specializes in wholistic health and healing, selling herbs, teas, crystals, books, and much more.

Born and raised in Hardin, Texas, Williamson collected stones in her driveway, one of the best pastimes for a poor farm girl. Little did she know that the joy this brought her as a girl would become the passion that grew into Brother Sun Sister Moon.

In many conversations among the family that runs Brother Sun Sister Moon is that the store and life are about balance. Our lives are like a three- legged table: body, mind, and soul. We are constantly bombarded with advertising about the physical: 80% of all media advertising money in 2021 came from pharmaceutical companies, then came weight loss and health clubs. Very little money was invested in intellectual health and even less in spiritual health. Their goal is to level the playing field and level that table.
