CLEVELAND - The Liberty County Pct. 6 Constable’s Office celebrated its annual National Night Out this past Thursday at Calvary Baptist Church, with the community and its leaders coming out to interact with each other in an evening filled with food and events.

“I strongly believe in community policing,” said Pct. 6 Constable Zack Harkness, “a philosophy that is rooted in open communication and partnerships between law enforcement and our community.”

Families were able to take photographs with their kids inside a helicopter and fire truck, interact with law enforcement, elected officials and other members of the community.

Some of the local officials in attendance were Liberty County Sheriff Bobby Rader, Liberty County District Attorney Jennifer Bergman, State Rep. Ernest Bailes, Cleveland Police Chief Darrel Broussard, and Deputy Emergency Mgt. Coordinator Madison Gonzalez were all in attendance, as were law enforcement and first responders.

The Cleveland High School Band performed several pieces throughout the night, and there were several booths set up by CSI towing, U. S Army, Accent Care, and others.
