National Library Week is an annual event that emphasizes the importance libraries and library staff have within their communities. It highlights the focus on growing readership and the library’s vision of creating a lifelong love of reading. In celebration of this year’s National Library Week, April 7-13, the Liberty Municipal Library will be holding a fine forgiveness week.

Bring in your overdue items or return them in the Liberty Municipal Library book drops during the week of April 7-13 and we will clear all your overdue fines! Yes – even those materials that have been out for decades! Fine removal applies to all library materials including books, magazines, DVDs/ Blu-rays, and audio books. Library items must be returned to the library for fines to be removed. Fine forgiveness does not include costs for damaged materials or postage fees.
