St. Stephens Pancake Supper

Posted in:

Long, ago strict Christian Lenten rules prohibited the eating of all dairy products, so keen housewives made pancakes to use up the supplies of eggs, milk, butter, and other fats. The pancakes could easily be made and cooked in a skillet or on a griddle. Families had stacks of them, and pancakes were popular with all.

Well, it is that time of year again when people start to think about what to “give up” for Lent. Before giving anything up, come and go through our drive-thru @ the Annual Pancake Supper @ St. Stephens Episcopal Church, Tuesday, March 1, 2022 from 5pm-7pm. Tickets are $8 per person. This will be a Drive Thru Only event this year. Enter off Fannin. No dine-ins. Pancakes and sausage @ 2041 Trinity Ave., Liberty.

Funds from the supper will be used by the Episcopal Church women (ECW) for outreach projects such as assistance to children and families in need who live in Liberty County, camp scholarships and to victims of natural disasters.
