HUNTSVILLE - Patrick Flowers has put in a lot of work to become one of the best cross-country runners in the state.

The Liberty senior has done it again and will be heading back to the State Cross Country Meet for the third straight year. The State Meet will be held at Old Settler’s Park in Round Rock on Friday, Nov. 4.

Flowers ran a time of 16:40.90 and finished in 10th place in The Regional Championship.

Winning the Class 4A race was Hudson Bennett of Burnet High School. Huffman’s Vincent Zuniga was right behind Flowers in 11th place. Matthew Morin also qualified for Regional for the Panthers and finished in 39th.

The Lady Panthers team also qualified for the Regional, and representing Liberty was Julianna Shivers, Marina Bourgeois, Julia Gerardo, Alissa Caruso, Melani Rangel, Brianna Sanchez, and Abbygail Colburn.

Head Coach Casey Evans leads Liberty.
