Dayton High School MCJROTC has again been recognized as a Naval Honor School. Of the 68 schools in Region 5 for the third consecutive year, we have been recognized for this honor. Only the top 20% of schools within Region 5 are selected for this honor.

The selection consists of a culmination of the following:

Cadet Citizenship — school activities, clubs, leadership — Community Service, Public Affairs, Scholastic Achievement, Academic Awards, Scholarships and Enlistments, MCJROTC Unit Activity, Drill Competitions and POI Events consisting of guest speakers, cadet leadership camps, field trips, hosting a drill meet, etc.

Last year we were the No. 1 MCJROTC within Region 5 and selected and recognized as the Marine Corps Reserve Association (MCRA).
