Last night your LMS Panthers traveled to Livingston to take on the Lions in their first games of the season.

The seventh grade A team would take the field eager to bring home the victory in which would be a thriller of a game that came down to the last drive which was lead by some hard running by Derrick Bennett and Brayden White. White would take the toss from quarterback Ethan Tulley and run in the end zone for the game winner. Your seventh grade Panthers 24, Livingston Lions 16.

To conclude the night the eighth grade A team took the field for a game which would be a defensive battle all night. The game would stay tied until early in the fourth quarter when quarterback Tony Denman completed a 25-yard pass to Blain Thornton, then Beau Fowler ran it in for a touchdown on the next play, making the score 14-8.

The Lions came back and scored with 1 minute left on the clock and completed the 2-point conversion bringing the score to 16-14, and that would be the final score.

Our combined 7th/8th grade team put up a good fight, but fell short, 20-6.

Next week your Panthers travel to Diboll to take on the Lumberjacks. Make sure you come out and show your Panther Pride.
