Billy Pavliska, 1935-2021

Billy Pavliska, 86, of Waco, went peacefully to the Lord with the love of his family by his side, November 16, 2021.

He was born February 18, 1935, in Kenefick, Dayton, Texas, to Frank and Rose Pavliska. Billy grew up in Liberty with six brothers and four sisters. He graduated from Liberty, where he excelled in football and track. Billy later went on to play for the Baylor Bears and made Waco his home. Later, he was drafted by the Pittsburg Steelers and soon afterward was inducted into the U.S. Army. Billy was an avid metal detectorist and won many competitions. He had a long career at General Tire Company and also helped the American Red Cross. Billy loved the Lord and never met a stranger. He enjoyed hunting at his deer lease and was fond of his beer buddy, Badger, his cat. He always said he had lived a good life.

He is preceded in death by his father, mother, and his oldest brother, Frank Pavliska Jr. He leaves behind siblings, Shirley Miller, Dorothy Sinast and husband Mike, Albert Pavliska and wife Linda, Jimmy Pavliska and wife Donna, Martha Bash, and husband Hank, Bobby Pavliska and wife Cindy, Jeanette Williams, Ronnie Pavliska and wife Regina, Donnie Pavliska and wife Yvette and many nieces and nephews and many, many friends.
