On Saturday, April 24, the Liberty High School Band attended the UIL Region 10 Concert and Sight Reading evaluation held at Silsbee High School. The band performed The Pride of Arizona march by Karl King, La Madre de los Gatos by Brian Beck, and Moscow, 1941 by Brian Balmages in Concert for a panel of three judges. For the Sight Reading evaluation, the band read a newly composed piece of music with only eight minutes of study time for a second panel of judges. The Panthers’ brilliant performance earned the highest rating, a 1st Division (Superior), from each of their six judges, and a Sweepstakes award overall for their outstanding musicianship.

The band, under the direction of Sean D. Smith and Jessie L. Smith, would like to invite the community to celebrate with us at our Spring Concert and Awards Night on May 20, 2021, at 7 pm in the LHS gymnasium. Liberty ISD COVID mitigation rules will apply.
