LIVINGSTON — Once again, the Liberty Lady Panthers hold the No. 1 ranking in Class 4A, and they continue plugging away with their 22nd straight win last Thursday with a 12-0 victory over the Lady Lions.

The combination of Kylee Bishop, Hollie Thomas, and Bayleigh Taylor did most of the damage at the plate, with 11 combined hits and 8 RBIs.

The Lady Panthers finished the game with 17 hits as a team.

Bishop doubled with one out in the top of the first and then scored on a Thomas single and a 1-0 lead.

Abbie Key singled, then pinch/runner Hallie Etheridge scored later in the inning, and the score was 2-0.

Liberty added two more in the third as Bishop homered to center field, and Bayleigh Taylor would double. The freshman then moved to third on a wild pitch and, two pitches later, would score on a passed ball, and the advantage was 4-0.

The Lady Panthers put up four more runs in the fourth inning. Breezy Pantalion doubled and then Slack would walk.

After a double- steal on the bases, Bishop delivered a two- run single to make it 6-0. Bayleigh Taylor then doubled, followed by a Key double to score another run, and the lead was 8-0.

Slack singled in the fifth, and then an errant throw by the Lady Lions catcher went into right field. The speedy Slack would circle the bases for a 9-0 lead.

Liberty added three insurance runs in the seventh as Bishop had an RBI single and doubles by Thomas and Key scored two more for the 12- 0 final.

Brookelyn Taylor had plenty of run support by pitching five innings and striking out eight while allowing just two hits. Bishop pitched two innings in relief while finishing with four hits and four RBIs.
