HARDIN — The Kountze Lions and Orangefield Bobcats each shared a claim of the 22-3A District Championship, and it was no surprise that both teams dominated the all-district team.

The District MVP was Zacc Sells of Kountze, teammate Cordell Lowe was named the Newcomer of the Year, and Rylan Smart was named Co-6th Man of the Year.

Kountze kept the awards coming, with Head Coach Duane Joubert named the district's Coach of the Year.

Orangefield's Jaden Scales took home the Offensive MVP and teammate Zane Wrinkle was named the Defensive MVP.

The Hardin Hornets' Ricko Denman was named to the second- team list. The senior led the Hornets in scoring and was also a big presence on the defense side of the ball with his speed.

Head Coach Jahmall Thomas leads Hardin.
