LIBERTY — The Liberty Lady Panthers sent two to the State Powerlifting Meet last Friday. Kylie Turner and Jackie Gerardo competed at the THSWPA State Powerlifting Meet. Turner finished in second place in the 114-weight division for Liberty. Also, on the boys' side, congratulations go out to Alex Valtierra for making it to Region.  

DAYTON — The Dayton Lady Broncos sent two ladies to the State Powerlifting Meet in Frisco. They are Lanie Whitehead and Isabella Narvaez. Whitehead finished in 7th place in the PR squat and total. Narvaez finished in 3rd place in the PR squat. Congratulations go out to the boy's side as Dayton sent four lifters to the state. They are Gray Weeks, Braeden White, Lance Willingham, and Emilio Villa.  

HULL-DAISETTA — The Bobcats of Hull-Daisetta had four lifters qualify for Regionals. They are Conner Drake, Matthew Eubanks, Lane Abshier, and Kayden Flowers. Abshier and Flowers could not compete at Regionals due to injury. The Lady Bobcats had two qualifiers for state in Heidi Calverley and Mia Whitehead. They both finished second in Regionals. Haylee Reed finished in 3rd place and Saleen Gunter was 4th at Regionals.  

TARKINGTON — Longhorns sophomore Moises Cardenas broke the Regional Deadlift Record and qualified for State for the second straight year at Regionals. Cardenas made his hometown proud by becoming the first Longhorn to ever bring a medal home from state with a 5th-place finish. He squatted 500, benched 310, and had a deadlift of 520.  

HARDIN — The Hardin Hornets also made a splash in the powerlifting season as Zane Pennington finished in 2nd place at Regional and qualified for state, finishing in 8th place. Also, congratulations to Chris McCarty and Ladon Ponton for qualifying for the Regionals.
