As spring starts to surface and the trees begin to bloom, we can see God’s reminder to align our hearts to the new thing He’s doing. A new season brings great change and renewal. Dead things come to life and new life begins!

Isaiah 43:19 NIV says, “See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland.”

Sometimes in order to come into a new season and spring forward in faith, we have to let go of the old season. Isaiah 43:18 NIV says, “ Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past.” One of the many lessons’ life teaches us is to let go. We can’t hang on to past hurts, past struggles, and past relationships. And sometimes this means we have to give ourselves time to grieve in order to move forward. We may have to let ourselves feel the loss, be sad for a little while, and talk to someone who cares. After we’ve grieved, we can pick ourselves up and start looking ahead once again.

Change is inevitable and is required according to the word of God. Ecclesiastes 3: 1-8 says “To everything there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven: A time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted; A time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up; A time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance; A time to cast away stones, and a time to gather stones together; a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing; A time to get, and a time to lose; a time to keep, and a time to cast away; A time to rend, and a time to sew; a time to keep silence, and a time to speak; A time to love, and a time to hate; a time of war, and a time of peace.” No matter what you may be going through right now, just remember that change is coming and you need to declare this is your season!! Be intentional every day to be renewed. Make it a priority to become deeply acquainted with God. Learn something new about Him every day and embrace the changes that God allows to come so that your can grow in every season of your life.
