A sixth grade student in the deaf education class at my sister’s school had done something he should not have done. It was not anything major, but he was upset. When his teacher tried to encourage him, he signed to her, “How can I ask God to forgive me? He doesn’t know sign language.”
She signed back, “God does know sign language, but more than that, He knows your heart.”
“The Lord is close to those whose hearts are breaking; he rescues those who are humbly sorry for their sins.” (Psalm 34:18)
