I CANNOT THINK OF A BETTER JULY 4TH STORY THAN THIS!
My sister was an elementary teacher. She told me that one of her second-grade students named Emily had missed two days in a row. She said something about it to her class and was told that Emily had been in the hospital.
When she asked if anyone knew why, one little boy spoke up and said, “She had to have her `independence’ removed!”
The old theologian Matthew Henry said, “You are never more your own than when you are owned by Christ.” Or, as the Apostle Paul said, “I am crucified with Christ, nevertheless I live. Yet not I, but Christ who lives in me.” (Galatians 2:20)
