ANAHUAC— It is my privilege to announce the closing of the “Books are the Building Blocks of the Future Capital Campaign.”

In keeping with our Anahuac National Bank Family of Banks’ ongoing commitment to education, a check was presented to the Anahuac ISD Education Foundation in the amount of $36,268.71.

These funds represent a tremendous outpouring of community backing led by the vital role the foundation played through their support and participation. We would specifically like to express our sincere gratitude.

While ANB provided a starting donation of $7,500, the remaining funds were contributed through local donations and numerous school and community activities, such as a student-driven car wash and an Easter event, “Ice Cream for Books,” held at ANB.

A “Community Day” event, located at Fort Anahuac Park and sponsored by the Anahuac Masonic Lodge, was a day of great fun including baked goods and face painting.

All of us here at ANB are proud of our part in this successful endeavor to improve access and enjoyment of a quality education—a building block to the economic development of our region and its people.

“On behalf of Anahuac ISD Education Foundation, we all say thank you! This generous donation will improve our student’s learning experience for years to come,” foundation President Hannah Vaughan said. “Anahuac National Bank’s leadership role in spearheading this book drive exemplifies the power of our community partnership. Together, we are all building a brighter future for our community.”

It has been my experience and my deepest pleasure to witness first-hand our community’s dedication to giving back and strong desire to build up the next generation.

Every contribution received, no matter the size, will make a difference in a child’s education and all of us here at Anahuac National Bank extend our warmest appreciation. We sincerely thank you all and are proud to be a part of such a caring community.
