Lady Panthers let Westbrook squeak out win
ANAHUAC– The Anahuac Lady Panthers fell to Westbrook in three sets, 25-20, 25-23, 28-25, last week at home.
Anahuac was not able to break out of their rough patch as the team picked up their ninth straight loss coming out of the contest.
A look at stats tells a sad tale. Anahuac’s record drops to 6-15 for the preseason.
Team total kills for the three sets were six, kill attempts 36, kill errors 10. No one on the team had more than one kill, with a couple of players coming up short with zero kills.
Addylyn Pierce had two blocks and Brogan May had one block.
Brecken Wilpitz and Brayli Van Vickle led with eight digs.
Van Vickle led on serve receive with twelve, followed closely by Wilpitz with eleven, and Avery Smith and Callie Henike with eight.
The Lady Panthers began district play this week and will meet up with Orangefield at home on Friday.
