Lady Panthers continue losing streak

The Anahuac Lady Panthers have yet to find themselves on the court this season, but the ladies keep plugging away as they look to get their first district win. Unfortunately, they have had to take some lumps along the way.
Last week, the black and gold faced a pair of tough opponents in Hardin and Orangefield.
The Lady Panthers hit the road for a battle with Hardin last Tuesday. Despite falling behind 25-14, 25-16, and 15-13, Anahuac continues to improve.
This group of athletic players, who came together in August without prior experience playing as a team, has been struggling to find their rhythm for the 2025-2026 season.
Coach Kristin Hart’s squad is getting plenty of playing time, as she looks for the right lineup.
Last Friday night in Orangefield, the Lady Panthers went down in three sets, 25-18, 25-11, 25-14. Middle Blocker Senior Madison Willis had a breakout night with seven kills and only two kill errors.
Hart and the whole team are excited for Madison’s excellent play and winning attitude.
It should be an exciting environment around town this Friday, as the annual rivalry weekend between Anahuac and East Chambers will pit the two Chambers County schools against each other. The Lady Panthers will face the Lady Bucs before the “Swamp Bowl.”
