LIBERTY— The Sam Houston Regional Library and Research Center hosts a quarterly Book Club meeting and invites any book lovers out for engaging conversation.

The first meeting of 2026 will be on Tuesday, Jan. 27 from 6 to 7 p.m., featuring “The Briar Club” by Kate Quinn.

The historical fiction novel focuses on the women renting rooms of a boarding house in the 1950s in Washington, D.C.

No registration or membership is required to join the club or attend meetings.

The next meeting will be April 28, centering around “The Stolen Queen” by Fiona Davis. The novel follows the stories of Charlotte Cross, an anthropology student in 1936 Egypt, and Diana Vreeland, a Metropolitan Museum of Art employee in 1978 New York City.

Following that, the next will be July 28, focusing on “My Dear Hamilton” by Stephanie Dray and Laura Kamoie. The novel surrounds the life of Eliza Schuyler Hamilton, the wife of Alexander Hamilton and daughter of a general.

The final meeting of 2026 will be on Oct. 27, discussing “The Midnight Library” by Matt Haig. All meetings begin at 6 p.m. The novel is about Nora Seed’s journey to the Midnight Library, which holds a collection of books describing every life she could have lived.
