ANAHUAC– The Panthers are coming off a pair of district losses last week, as the black and gold fight to remain in the hunt for a playoff spot.

The week started off with a trip to Warren and Anahuac fell just short to the Warriors 64-53.

The Anahuac Panthers hosted first-place Orangefield on Friday night at home and fell to the Bobcats 79-50.

Orangefield is undefeated in District 22-3A play with a 5-0 record and improves to 22-3 on the season.

The loss drops Anahuac district record to 2-3, but the Panthers are still in the middle of the playoff race.

The Panthers will travel to Winnie on Friday night for a matchup with second-place East Chambers.
