Governor Abbott Announces Five Counties Added To Federal Disaster Declaration

AUSTIN – Governor Greg Abbott today announced that the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) has approved five additional Texas counties for the Presidential Disaster Declaration for severe storms and flooding that began on April 26 and remain an ongoing threat. The additional counties approved for FEMA’s Individual Assistance programs are Austin, Dallas, Hockley, Kaufman, and Newton counties.

Entergy Texas proposes new power plants to support rapid growth in Southeast Texas

THE WOODLANDS, Texas – Southeast Texas is experiencing extraordinary economic and population growth, leading to a significant rise in electricity demand and the urgent need for Entergy Texas to add 40% more generation capacity to its power grid in four years.
