Five young ladies compete for crown

On March 13, five young ladies competed at the Bar J Arena in Dayton to be crowned the Cleveland Livestock Show and Dairy Day Queen. The competition is comprised of giving prepared and impromptu speeches, answering personality questions, a written test, questions on horsemanship knowledge and a horsemanship pattern.

Hardin Junior FFA members go to the HLS

The Hardin FFA is incredibly proud of our Junior FFA members, Dane & Mallory Fitzgerald, for how well they did at Houston Livestock Show with their chickens. On day one, these kids set a goal to make it to the auction block, despite unprecedented obstacles from COVID -19, overcoming complications from the winter storm, as well as the setback when feed was scarce. These students never gave up and simply learned to adapt. Their hard work and dedication paid off! Dane was only a few spots away from making it to sale & Mallory scored herself a sale spot!!
