Read moreThe Dayton High School Marine Core JROTC has had an outstanding competition season that culminated in an opportunity to compete for a birth to the nation drill competition in Daytona Beach. The cadets performed extremely well bringing home some hardware but ultimately fell just short of an invitation to the national competition. Out of the 16 schools that qualified for the regional competition the Dayton MCJROTC squad finished fourth, just sixty-five points away from the invitation to Florida. This group of young men and women have done a great job of represent ing Dayton ISD, Dayton High School, and their hometown throughout this competition season.

Read moreStephen F. Austin Elementary hosted their very first Growth Parade to celebrate their K-5 students. Their scholars have been working so hard and making great progress in all academic areas. Every student participated in this event, and it was delightful to see how proud the students, staff, and parents were of their accomplishments. SFA looks forward to making this an annual tradition for years to come.
