Read moreLast year at Splendora, DaVette McCall took the Lady Wildcats deep into the playoffs in just a short period of time. McCall now comes over to Dayton and looks to do the same as she takes over as the new Head Coach of the Lady Broncos. McCall and her Lady Broncos start things off at home on August 10 in a dual match with La Porte and Lumberton. Dayton then travels to Clements on August 13 and then Nederland on August 17. The Lady Broncos then play in the Spring ISD Tournament on August 19 and 21, with a home game against C.E. King on August 20. The following weekend, Dayton will then host their own tournament. District play start’s up on Friday, September 10, at home against Porter. The final district game will see New Caney come to town on October 26.

Read moreThe Liberty Lady Panthers Softball Camp finished up last Friday with a scrimmage from 10- noon. On a hot Thursday afternoon, Head Coach Karen Slack and assistant coach Joe, along with daughter and former University of Texas shortstop Kaitlyn Slack all worked with about 50 campers in fielding, hitting, running, and bunting drills, just to name a few of them. The camp under the direction of Slack is always a popular one and should be considering that Liberty has won the Class 4-A State Championship two of the last four years.
