Barbers Hill drops Crosby 59-37
MONT BELVIEU— Barbers Hill senior Autumn LeCompte scored five quick points to start the game, and the Lady Eagles started things off by scoring the first seven points last Tuesday night as they cruised to a 59-37 win over the Crosby Lady Cougars on Tuesday night at home in a non-district clash between the two rivals.
After falling behind 7-0 early on, Crosby played even the rest of the quarter as Barbers Hill led 13-6 after the opening period.
The second quarter saw another strong defensive output by the Lady Eagles as the Lady Cougars were held to just six points again in the period, while Barbers Hill put up 14 points to lead 27-12 at the half.
The Lady Eagles had another strong quarter by outscoring Crosby 15-12 in the third, building their advantage to 42-24 heading into the final eight minutes of play.
Barbers Hill then put the game away with a 17-13 fourth quarter in getting the victory over the Lady Cougars.
The Lady Eagles will travel to Baytown Sterling on Friday night for a district contest.
