Recent AHS grad spends summer at ANB
ANAHUAC— The Anahuac Municipal Development District’s Summer Job Training Program is well underway, and AMDD wishes to highlight their participants.
Mattie Alcala, recent graduate of Anahuac High School, is working at Anahuac National Bank this summer and has learned key elements of working in a professional environment.
Alcala has learned the art of being polite, respectful and speaking professionally when interacting with customers.
While at AHS, Alcala was involved in marching band, golf, softball and Catholic Youth Ministry. During her spare time, Alcala enjoys playing pickleball.
This year, nine students are participating in the program, either part-time or full-time, to increase their odds of starting their careers early on.
Each participant went through an interview process of submitting resumes and interviewing at the AMDD office. AMDD Directors Monica Rodriguez and Kenneth “Kenny” Miller and Office Administrator Annette Abernathy conducted the interviews.
